Never Go Back: A Jack Reacher Novel

Getting a new release Jack Reacher book in the mailbox is like being handed an ice cream cone on a blistering summer day. It's simply not there for appreciating or slowly enjoy, you place right in and take pleasure in every lick. And like the cone, "Never Go Back" does not let you down.

On this occasion, Reacher journeys back to his previous MP unit to meet its new commander, primarily because he was captivated by the sound of her voice on the phone. Then, he discovers that she's been locked up, and he is being brought back on active duty so he can answer to a homicide charge and paternity suit. As always, practically nothing is quite as it appears to be, and Reacher has to peel back layer after layer to get to the truth of the matter. While remaining one step ahead of the law, drug dealers, and the Army.

I don't know if the Reacher sequence can get any better, but it definitely isn't getting any worse or showing any author weariness. The writing is sharp, the pacing brilliant, and the plot is pleasantly complicated and imaginative. You simply cannot put this book down, it's that powerful and addictive.

The one weakness is Child's lack of comprehension of the U.S. military. Reacher refers to an Army major as "miss", something no recent field grade officer would ever do except as a deliberately provocative insult. He has a base with three checkpoints at the entry and exit. I've never seen a base with more than one entry checkpoint, and only an exit checkpoint during exercises or times of heightened security. Checking everyone's ID and trunk three times on the way off-base is manpower strenuous and utterly unnecessary.

HIGH HEAT is a extremely enjoyable short story for Reacher fans

HIGH HEAT is a extremely enjoyable short story for Reacher fans. It's a significantly improvement over the earlier Reacher eBooks SECOND SON and DEEP DOWN. The writing is usual Lee Child (superb) and the plot is a typical Reacher plot  - he wanders into town, finds a lovely lady or two, and a lot of issues. And it's pretty brilliant.

Reacher is on his way to pay a visit to his brother at West Point when he stops off in NYC to have a look at the music scene and the college ladies at NYU, but what he discovers is a city held in anxiety of the Son of Sam and enduring a unremitting heat wave.

Right away Reacher witnesses what seems to be to be a female in distress. And Reacher remaining who he is - "I'm not a Marine. I'm the son of a Marine." - he's compelled to intercede. He's only sixteen, but he's already a fully formulated machine that's been fine tuned by street fights on and off-post at military setups the world over.

But it works out he's really set foot into it, because he's crossed paths with the Croselli crime family and the boss isn't about to be shown up by some punk kid who's just rolled into town. Advised off by an out-of-favor female FBI agent, Reacher hooks up with a college girl just as the city is delved into darkness from a power outage.

As Reacher and his associate explore the unique scene that is NYC without power, they meet with someone who Reacher believes is the Son of Sam. Using his unusually keen ability to observe and record information that's such a dominant part of this series, Reacher believes he's deducted a useful piece of information that might help the police catch a serial killer.

With that in mind, Reacher doesn't even flinch to head back into the crime family's controlled area, looking for a disgraced FBI agent, trying to find a way to give her information that can get her career back on track and end the Son of Sam's killing spree.

If you're a fan of the series, then you're going to love Reacher in this eBook - from "the clock in Reacher's head" ticking to midnight to his pretty simple logic in dealing with bad guys: "They could have kept on walking."

This is a teenage Reacher at his absolute best, on the verge of becoming the soldier cop and with all the wit and skills and attitude that readers have come to love about him.

Answer:Read a book

Answer:Read a book

Question:I am bored there's nothing to do,what can i do that is different and good for me and not expensive.

Reading: was a lost pass time for a while but now with online book sales, and the nook and kindle readers reading is on a huge upswing. 5 billion sites on reading now wow that is exciting, it means literacy is back.Reading is to the mind what exercising is to the body, if you do not exercise, you get soft and flabby ,out of shape same with your brain ,if you do not use it it gets soft and out of shape and your memory is not 100 percent. It has been proven if you read and exercise your brain, your more alert and your memory improves.

Reading is also one of the best stress and anxiety reducers we know of. If you had a bad week sit down with a good action book,or romance novel or what ever your interest is, block out the world and live the life you are reading about. This is great for your heart and brain as the stress goes away and you are using your brain exercising it as we would say. Do this for a couple weeks and watch the improvement in your mental health your memory and your life style.

Reading a book may be a little more work than watching a movie, but it is much more descriptive and personal as in a movie you never know what the character is thinking, you are often filling in the blanks. But in a book you get to know what everyone thinks you get to know each individual character is thinking what they are like ,almost like you know them personally. A well written book fills in the blanks, gives you profiles on every one,so in your head your only trying to predict the ending, and you can not  stop reading because you need to know if your right.

There is a book on every subject known, i do not care what the subject is you can find a book to read to fill your interest. All the knowledge of man has been written down in a book, not only can your exercise your brain you can learn things you never had any idea you did not know.Always read books that you are interest in the subject they are writing about as you will not loose interest.Always choose a book written by a good author, like James Patterson or Lee Child or Stephen King. Try to read a review on it first to see if it's within your interest range.I like action, suspense, thriller books my wife reads romance novels. But there is a book for you out there exercise your brain ,your memory ,try reading a good book.
Here are a few i like.
