This is a very superior entrance in a great series. I just wish that the series continued to be as good as the first book had been. This series still has possibilities so I am not going to give up on it.

I really suggest that you read at least the first book in this series before you undertake this one---in fact since there are only three books I would say go for reading both earlier books before reading this one. Nevertheless, you don’t HAVE to read the earlier books to get into this one – it will just make it easier on you to understand Amos Decker’s quirks and exceptional capability.

This book is total thriller with a slight dash of illusion thrown in. A theft of our Countries secrets, spying, hacking, espionage, Russia- Middle East, murder and a story line a little too close to home/the truth for my taste! In the first book, we find how Amos came to have his ‘abilities’ and he goes from a cardboard box living, shell of a man, to this book where he is a productive part of a team that is part of the FBI and making friends. (with the likelihood of a girl-friend I think!)


The book as always grabs you from the first page. A need to, must read. I got this book Friday night & couldn't literately put it down. Just finished. 



Fantastic Characters and lots are twist. I have read all his books. By far one of his best work on this one. Can't wait for his next one. One of the best writers I have had the pleasure and luck to come across. Keep up the awesome work you do. A must, must read.

Turbo Twenty-Three: A Stephanie Plum Novel (Ranger had a big part in this book)

This book was so enjoyable - chuckle out loud fun - that I disliked to see it end! I love this author and I really like this series! If you are looking for something with deep significance, and hidden messages, this is not the book to read. But, if you want a light-weight, fun, and pleasurable read, this is your book! I laughed so hard from the beginning to the very end!




There aren't enough superlatives in the English language to explain how much I Iove Stephanie Plum novels narrated by Lorelie King. Evanovich is the funniest writer alive and Lorelie King is brilliant! She brings every nuance of humor out of the dialogue. Her characters are so vivid and well defined that you forget this is just a book and not real life. I highly recommend it.

I’ve read all 20 Jack Reacher books, created by Lee Child. I leaped at the opportunity to review copy of his most recent book. You don’t read 20 books by same author unless of course you genuinely like the characters, and “Night School” is no different. Taking place back in the mid-90’s Military Police Major Jack Reacher is reassigned to go back to school – but it isn’t what everyone thinks. It’s really just a cover to investigate a feasible act of treason and terrorism. Reacher teams up with his old friend Sgt. Frances Neagley and a group of new people comprising the FBI, CIA and the national Security Council to find out what is transpiring and how to stop it. The best part of a thriller is finding out what takes place, so I won’t spoil anything, but Jack Reacher does his typical thing and in the end prevails in the usual Reacher fashion. The interaction between Neagley and Reacher, along with the other team members is enjoyable.

That’s the good part, now the part that isn’t quite as good. I like Reacher novels because over the years he has been constant - Jack Reacher is a really interesting character – keeps a clock in his head – always know specifically what time it is. Calculates the physics of a punch before he throws it, etc. In this book, Reacher is a bit more superficial. There is a lot less of Reacher’s thought process in this book and I felt it made the book a bit less fun to read. In fact, I can only give it “4 Stars” because it’s good – very good, in fact… but it lacks a bit of what makes Reacher novels so enjoyable.

Reacher fans will love it. Folks new to the series will enjoy it, as well. I enjoyed it. I just wish Lee Child done a bit more to keep Reacher’s character as exclusive and entertaining as he has done in the past.

What an extraordinary story this is from page one until the ending.
Just about when I imagined I had a segment of it
figuredout, I admit that I was completly wrong. And, my investagating common sense did not help for the other parts of the book either. An superb plot motivated by some intriguing character types makes this one a serious page turner. And, the progression of the characters is fantastic which includes both the good guys and the nasty ones. The publishing style is clean and flows easily and the detailed portions will make one wince at times. One thing that I really relished was the two strong women characters Caitlin and Detective Charlotte Hunnsaker.

Laughter is interjected all through the book to allow the readers an possibility to get their breath. After I completed reading this book I kept thinking of it for days ,that is a sign of a great thriller. Mr. Hankins has gone deeply into the minds of two generations with simplicity and also explained in detail the manner in which a distressing event impacts a person.

Most highly recommended and for a number of reasons.

Reacher has no specific place to go, and all the time in the world to get there, and there’s a thing about Chang . . . so he teams up with her and begins to ask around. He perceives: How awful can this thing be? But before long he’s stepped into a frantic race through LA, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco, and through the hidden parts of the internet, up versus thugs and assassins every move of the way—right back to where he started, in Mother’s Rest, where he must encounter the worst nightmare he could visualize.

Walking away would have been less complicated. But as always, Reacher’s rule is: If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.

He seems to have got off a train in the midsection of wheat country, for no greater motives than he liked the mysterious name of the town, Mother’s Rest, and that he’s got tried and true intuition for sniffing out problems. Lee Child’s Reacher series has struck Book No. 20 with a unquestionable stream of wisecracking entertainment (“Are you going to be a problem?” “I’m already a problem. The issue is, what are you going to do about it?”). Every little thing about it, beginning with Reacher’s nose for bad news, is as powerful as ever before.

Keep that in mind next time somebody tells you that Mr. Child, whose perinal tough-guy thrillers all adhere to the same fundamental rules, is just one more style type repeating himself in a mechanized way.

“Make Me” is a incredibly hot one. So was “Never Go Back” two years ago, but the tepid “Personal” (2014) came between them. Mr. Child does his best work when he endeavors into bold new obstacles, and “Personal” didn’t provide any. “Make Me” provides a massive one, but it takes its sweet time in exposing what, precisely, is underfoot in the vaguely menacing hick town that tempts Reacher.
There are indicators that this a heart forthe agricultural business there is five very massive grain lifts in a place that has very few folks in it. (Reacher guesses the human population must be a thousand. But we hear from only about a dozen people, all of whom wish he’d go away.) And there is one other visitor, a beautiful woman detective named Chang whose partner, Keever, has inexplicably vanished. To the surprise of all the moles in Mother’s Rest, who make phone calls reporting on Reacher’s location whenever they see him, he and Chang move into the nearby motel trying to determine out where Keever has gone.

Not much to operate with, is it? Specifically when Mr. Child has to summarize the basic things about Reacher that he’s said in each one of these books. What does he carry with him? Usually the answer is “Everything I need and nothing I don’t,” which can mean a toothbrush. This time it’s “a few bucks in my pocket, and four points on the compass.” He’s also inquired where he lives. (“Nowhere. In the world. Right here, today.”) And what kind of nothing he does. (“I travel. I see things. I go where I want.”)
This is the book that will take Reacher from the kind of wise cracking  his followers love and the physical violence that he comprehends (he actually hurts himself head-butting this time, another new perspective for the series), into the eerie concrete realities of 2015, not the ones Reacher learned in the last century as part of his military training.

He’s a fast study, but he has been unaware about a large, horrific, intangible part of the planet in which fantasies rule, no thought is forbidden and a great deal of people die. “Make Me” will surprise some of Mr. Child’s readers if they know nothing of the hidden world that Reacher detects. Clarity has always been one of Mr. Child’s strong suits. One of reachers better books read it.

THIS TIME I know it, I know it with a certainty that chokes my throat with panic, that grips and twists my heart until it’s ripped from its mooring. This time, I’m too late.

This time, it’s too hot. This time, it’s too bright, there’s too much smoke.

The house alarm is screaming out, not the early-warning beep but the piercing you’re-totally-screwed-if-you-don’tmove-now squeal. I don’t know how long it’s been going off, but it’s too late for me now. The searing oven-blast heat within the four corners of my bedroom. The putrid black smoke that singes my nostril hairs and pollutes my lungs. The orange flames rippling across the ceiling above me, dancing around my bed, almost in rhythm, a taunting staccato, popping and crackling, like it’s not a fire but a collection of flames working together; collectively, they want me to know, as they bob up and down and spit and cackle, as they slowly advance, This time it’s too late, Emmy —

The window. Still a chance to jump off the bed to the left and run for the window, the only part of the bedroom still available. The enemy is cornering me, daring me, Go ahead, Emmy, go for the window, Emmy —

Dreams suck. You think you’ve conquered something, you work on it over and over and tell yourself you’re getting better, you will yourself to get better, you congratulate yourself on getting better. And then you close your eyes at night, you drift off into another world, and suddenly your own brain is tapping you on the shoulder and saying,Guess what? You’re NOT better!

I let out one, conclusive exhale and reach for my bedroom light. When I turn it on, the fire is everywhere. It’s my wallpaper now, the various photographs and case summaries and inspectors’ reports adorning the walls of my bedroom, fires involving deaths in cities throughout the United States: Hawthorne, Florida. Skokie, Illinois. Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Plano, Texas. Piedmont, California.

I move along the wall and quickly review each one. Then I head to my computer and start opening e-mails.

The us president is aware it could signify his impeachment if they are captured. Evan Tucker,

teaching facility that
is infamous for busting agents, both bodily and psychologically. Tucker tosses the complete
worst at them, and they soon learn that enduring the torture is the easy part of their assignment.
While they are battling to pass the escalating ferocious tests thrown at them, a man in a different
part of the country is waiting for his fate on death row. Even so, he is dying from lung cancer,
and he persuades his doctor to look up his daughter, who was located in witness protection
years before, so he can tell her goodbye.
He has an ulterior objective, and while his doctor contemplates getting in touch with the
authorities, in another part of the world, a North Korean assassin receives a hazardous mission
with worldchanging
implications.
Robie and Reel are intricate heroes, and whatever they do is a enjoyment to follow. However, the
ventures are incredibly short and somewhat patchy from the rest of the story, making it seem
that the operations were short stories that Baldacci tossed in with the rest of the story and
character types. That aside, Baldacci has learned how to get audience to turn the pages, and
he's in prime form here.

Some people watch T.V I read books while i watch TV if i find myself ignoring the TV i know i have a great book in my hands.I have to apologize to Mike Wells he has been in my twitter a long time i had never read his books Mike i am sorry it was my lose.While at my daughters house for dinner i happen to pick up her kindle start reading the page on there it was Lust, Money & Murder - Book 1 i saw the name Mike Wells and knew right away i had made a mistake not downloading the free book he gives you for following him it was this very book i believe.Some people admire firemen and detectives or hero soldiers and rightfully so  i admire writers i truly believe there talent to let you inside there imagination and use nothing but mere words to keep you there till the story has ended is so amazing.

After about a chapter i had to look again see if i was reading a Alex Cross or Jack Reacher book, one minute were a model few minutes later were a secret service agent in Bulgaria This is a fast book full of suspense and action lots of twist not over detailed but it keeps you very in touch with the characters, love fast thrillers, i loved this book.Only recently i become a e book reader as i always thought if a book is that good i would see it all over town or at least at the grocery store while i was in line,but i understand that soon all books will be e books and now some of our best talent use amazon as there publisher Mike wells i am sure has sold a million books without ever using a single piece of paper,great  for  our ecology and his books are great for entertainment .i will be buying more books of his since they go right from one to the other like one giant million page book you buy a chapter at a time but hell e books are cheap you have a new fan Mike thank you for sharing your imagination with us.
