Never Go Back: A Jack Reacher Novel

Getting a new release Jack Reacher book in the mailbox is like being handed an ice cream cone on a blistering summer day. It's simply not there for appreciating or slowly enjoy, you place right in and take pleasure in every lick. And like the cone, "Never Go Back" does not let you down.

On this occasion, Reacher journeys back to his previous MP unit to meet its new commander, primarily because he was captivated by the sound of her voice on the phone. Then, he discovers that she's been locked up, and he is being brought back on active duty so he can answer to a homicide charge and paternity suit. As always, practically nothing is quite as it appears to be, and Reacher has to peel back layer after layer to get to the truth of the matter. While remaining one step ahead of the law, drug dealers, and the Army.

I don't know if the Reacher sequence can get any better, but it definitely isn't getting any worse or showing any author weariness. The writing is sharp, the pacing brilliant, and the plot is pleasantly complicated and imaginative. You simply cannot put this book down, it's that powerful and addictive.

The one weakness is Child's lack of comprehension of the U.S. military. Reacher refers to an Army major as "miss", something no recent field grade officer would ever do except as a deliberately provocative insult. He has a base with three checkpoints at the entry and exit. I've never seen a base with more than one entry checkpoint, and only an exit checkpoint during exercises or times of heightened security. Checking everyone's ID and trunk three times on the way off-base is manpower strenuous and utterly unnecessary.

Second Honeymoon /James Patterson/most surprising thriller

Via the previous years I have figured out to pick an choose which James Patterson's books to read, specifically since he commenced co-authoring..For the "Second Honeymoon" I would say he has an additional hit on his hands....This is such a rapidly paced, psychological/thriller you won't want to stop flipping the pages...The deep characterization, the partnering of returning suspended FBI Agent, John O'Hara and new Agent Sarah Brubaker was brillant...They each enhance each other's personality which adds an element of "humor" to the story..Which I think you needed with all the tension they are under trying to distinguish and catch two psychotic serial killers at the same time..It's is an action packed, fun whirlwind ride all the way to the shocking end..This is a stand alone novel you don't have to read the first to comprehend what's going on here...The plot streams seamlessly and all ties collectively in the end..

This is not just about the "Second Honeymoon" serial killer case it's even better...Now we have the "John O'Hara" serial killer on the loose..Well, Agent John O' Hara was just as shocked to see his name on the CNN News Channel when he turned it on..Pray that's not your name because the killer will not cease until he finds the right one..He is out to avenge his sister's death and just hearing that name triggers long dormant, painful memories..But there is a link between the two cases and that's when Agent Sarah Brubaker gets involved..Through her investigation, she digs through past FBI solved files and comes across the "HoneyMoon" serial killer case from yrs ago.Great read buy it now.

The Silent Wife/ This book was superb

This book was superb, it yanked me in fully. It is a book that can be read effortlessly in
a couple of days. A relationship of two decades, under no circumstances was a marriage, because neither of them felt it was important. Jodi Brett, a psychologist, with numerous degrees behind her name and Todd Gilbert, a builder, builder, with no diplomas behind his name, met by incident. Jodi was relocating and her moving truck struck Todd's truck in a dazzling Chicago rain. For some reason in-between the shouting and allegations a relationship formulated, and within a short time they moved in with each other. They had a ideal life, thought Jodi. A lovely residence, expensive furnishings, good food, fast cars and good sex. The only concern was the never discussed liaisons that Todd had with other ladies. Jodi, disregarded them, never dealt with them, and lived in a constant state of denial.

This denial appeared to be a condition for both of them. Each of them had a tough, abusive childhood. Only Todd spoke of his. Jodi kept it covered, in deep denial, that appears to be strange for a therapist. They lived an revised life,an altered lifestyle. Todd got what he desired, whenever he wanted, and, Jodi, got what she wanted, she imagined. Jodi dressed in highly-priced beige pants and white shirt while at home, and this seems to be her existence, beige. Just right, no highs, no lows, until something occurs that brings everything failing. This book is along the lines of the good bye Girl but possibly even a little better.Read it///

Mistress James Patterson (Author), David Ellis (Author) First Patterson clunker

I have always said i have no idea how Patterson writes a book a month and there all good. This book breaks his streak it sucks.About a man solving the murder of his imaginary girl friend the whole dam book is imaginary beyond belief.Patterson is only responsible for half the blame as he was co author of this book and from the looks of it he wrote the Title and turned it over to Ellis as it is impossible that this is a true Patterson book.Save your money.

Patterson is still the greatest author of our time possibly all time here are a few of his books that prove that.

The Quickie

Judge & Jury

DeGrasse, an aspiring actress and single mom, is not your typical juror. Hoping to get dismissed from the pool, she tells the judge that most of her legal knowledge comes from a bit part curling around a stripper's pole in The Sopranos. But she still ends up as juror #11 in a landmark trial against a notorious mob boss.

Judge & Jury is an easy read but also very entertaining. You'll not be disappointed

You've Been Warned

Fear exists for a reason. And Kristin can only dismiss the warnings for so long. Searching desperately for the truth through the lens of her camera, she can only hope that it's not too late. This novel of psychological suspense is a stunning achievement for thriller master James Patterson, "one of the bestselling writers in history" (New York Sun).

HIGH HEAT is a extremely enjoyable short story for Reacher fans

HIGH HEAT is a extremely enjoyable short story for Reacher fans. It's a significantly improvement over the earlier Reacher eBooks SECOND SON and DEEP DOWN. The writing is usual Lee Child (superb) and the plot is a typical Reacher plot  - he wanders into town, finds a lovely lady or two, and a lot of issues. And it's pretty brilliant.

Reacher is on his way to pay a visit to his brother at West Point when he stops off in NYC to have a look at the music scene and the college ladies at NYU, but what he discovers is a city held in anxiety of the Son of Sam and enduring a unremitting heat wave.

Right away Reacher witnesses what seems to be to be a female in distress. And Reacher remaining who he is - "I'm not a Marine. I'm the son of a Marine." - he's compelled to intercede. He's only sixteen, but he's already a fully formulated machine that's been fine tuned by street fights on and off-post at military setups the world over.

But it works out he's really set foot into it, because he's crossed paths with the Croselli crime family and the boss isn't about to be shown up by some punk kid who's just rolled into town. Advised off by an out-of-favor female FBI agent, Reacher hooks up with a college girl just as the city is delved into darkness from a power outage.

As Reacher and his associate explore the unique scene that is NYC without power, they meet with someone who Reacher believes is the Son of Sam. Using his unusually keen ability to observe and record information that's such a dominant part of this series, Reacher believes he's deducted a useful piece of information that might help the police catch a serial killer.

With that in mind, Reacher doesn't even flinch to head back into the crime family's controlled area, looking for a disgraced FBI agent, trying to find a way to give her information that can get her career back on track and end the Son of Sam's killing spree.

If you're a fan of the series, then you're going to love Reacher in this eBook - from "the clock in Reacher's head" ticking to midnight to his pretty simple logic in dealing with bad guys: "They could have kept on walking."

This is a teenage Reacher at his absolute best, on the verge of becoming the soldier cop and with all the wit and skills and attitude that readers have come to love about him.

The Dead Room / Robert Ellis/ Action Thriller impossible to put down

ROBERT ELLIS is the worldwide bestselling author of Access to Power, The Dead Room and the critically acclaimed Los Angeles Times bestseller City of Fire, The Lost Witness, and Murder Season

A youthful female is uncovered brutally slain in her very own residence in Philadelphia. The mailman evidently "did it." His fingerprints and teeth marks are discovered all over the body, and he is found at his own home, a short time after the murder, coated in the ladies blood. A next door neighbor observed the mail carrier jogging away from the crime scene, saturated in blood, at the estimated time the crime was determined.

Teddy Mack, a young lawyer at the Barnett & Stokes Law Firm, concentrating in corporate law, is requested to defend the offender by the firm's senior partner, even though Mack has no expertise as a defense attorney. Because of previous personal problems, Mack is revolted by criminal law, and is hesitant to take the case. However, the demand is made by his mentor, which makes it tough to turn down. He is essentially told that all he will be expected to do, since the defendant certainly committed the heinous crime, is to get rid of the death penalty as an option and make sure that the offender is sentenced to life in an institution for the criminally insane, as compared to the state penitentiary.

As Mack looks at the homicide and the research to prepare his defense, he finds another similarly grisly murder - and another; murders fully commited while the defendant is behind bars. The city's populace panics that a serial killer is on the loose. As the bodies keep turning up, so does proof of dirty politics and corrupt justice - a system that will indict, convict and kill the innocent in return for solving crimes and bringing in guilty verdicts.

Mack enters a community of horror and physical violence, confronting his own past demons, and a very real enormous in the present. He fights to save a life, and discover the truth behind the aggressive prosecution and the history of death penalty sentences by a zealous DA.
Great book buy it without a doubt.

Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead

Sandberg is the chief operating officer of Facebook and is positioned on Fortune’s list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business and as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential Individuals in the World. In 2010, she gave an electrifying TED Talk in which she defined how women inadvertently hold themselves back in their careers. Her talk, which became a phenomenon and has been seen more than two million times, motivated women to “sit at the table,” seek challenges, take risks, and pursue their goals with passion.

In a day where women hold 4.2 percent of the CEO jobs in Fortune 500 companies Sandberg is saying it should be 50% because woman are 50 percent of the College graduates,is she right?

There's many more , but my point being women still held back , if you  read this book you will believe they are i promise.
Good reading with a lot of quotes and facts surely an inspiration to all women who want to achieve a successful career should be required reading in any motivational class.

As you can see she is a brilliant speaker writer and coo, it is a book all should read.Lean in the number one seller at Amazon for a reason it is great.

“Important . . . This is a great moment for all of us—women and men—to acknowledge that the current male-dominated model of success isn’t working for women, and it’s not working for men, either . . . The world needs women to redefine success beyond money and power. We need a third metric, based on our well-being, our health, our ability to unplug and recharge and renew ourselves, and to find joy in both our job and the rest of our life.”
